A:AnswerYou can buy a basic phone card for $19.99, that will give you 180 minutes because the basic cards are tripled on this phone, and it gives you 3 months of service. All your unused minutes never expire as long as you buy another basic card before the 90 days expire. If you use your wi-fi when you want to access the internet and only use the phone for calls and texting, it will cost you roughly $7 a month.

A:AnswerHi. This is Frank from TracFone Wireless. Yes, you can transfer your photos and contacts to the new phone. You can also transfer your current phone number as long as it is active. Thank you.
A:AnswerNo, the older tracfones could be answered just by flipping open the lid. This one shows you what number is calling when you flip open the lid, but to answer you will need to press the send button.
A:AnswerHi. This is Lea from TracFone Wireless. No. The phone is not programmed to a specific number. In the process of activating the phone, the system will either generate a new phone number or you have the option to transfer your old phone number. Thanks.

A:AnswerEasy to do online. Calling is a hassle and some techs will keep you online for a very long time with very little help. I was able to initially transfer my old number and over 2k minutes very EASILY ONLINE, but then the new phone glitched, a tracfone tech deactivated it and I lost all the time and the year plan with additional 400 minutes & text, data and later was told the year card did NOT cover texts or data!!!!
I finally got another tech to give back half my minutes and time on another new phone I had to purchase to replace the glitched one and less than three weeks later all my text & data was wiped off again!!!
Called them back, got another tech who put me on hold for an extended time and said I needed to give him my original year card of 400 minutes, text, data PIN number. I had thrown it away three weeks previously after successfully downloading online myself. He then hung up on me.
I’ve had Tracfone since 2011. I now know why they have a bad reputation for their tech support. This last fiasco was talking to 4 separate support techs for a total of over 5 hours on the phone on two separate days, with very little overall success!!!!! Sad, but true.
