No, this is a Verizon service phone. That is why I was so happy with it. TracFone service uses both AT&T and Verizon towers but only the cheap phone use AT&T towers. My last phone was having poor service and when I updated the phone they told me that I will now be using Verizon towers. Then they transferred me to a Verizon rep to connect my phone. Now I have more functionality and great reception. Don't worry though, because the new sim card that comes with the phone will be set up by TracFone. If you are determined to stay with AT&T and don't want to buy their phone I suggest purchasing an unlocked phone at a greater price. You can buy an AT&T phone without a contract but you will be charged more unless you find one online cheaper. Hope this helped!
