Unless you purchase a "wireless" headset for the PS4 all headsets must be plugged into the controller.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Think about what you are asking. Is your headset is wired? The only way for a wired headset to work is to plug into the handset. It's the only connection you have. A wireless headset requires an internet dongle attached to the console to make a connection. I'm not familiar with the p12 but if it's wireless you should have a dongle that attaches to the console to establish the wireless connection.
