- Answer You need an adapter tthat converts a single pin 4-pole jack to two 3-pole plugs. Or just buy a headset with separate mic and headphone plugs.

- Answer I turn down the TV volume or typically just mute it, so no I do not hear game sound in the mic. However, if you are playing with the TV volume up, yes, I am sure this will occur.
