This set plus into the xbox one system twice, using a USB port and the digital audio fiber optical cable port. Nothing gets plugged into the controller so no it doesn't come with the adapter but you don't need it. You might be thinking of the Astro M80 adapter. That plus into the controller and makes it so you don't have to use the mixamp pro setup. I would avoid the M80 though as you lose the 7.1 surround sound. If you are less than 13 feet away from your Xbox one then the mixamp pro will work great.
