Yes! I have V1G2 on my other Car, almost performs exactly the same.  The real advantage of R7 vs V1G2, i don’t have to use my phone for R7, it’s a plug and play.

Although I don't have laboratory testing apparatus to verify these kinds of speed tolerances, I can say it has detected radar quickly enough to prevent me from being ticketed. It will go from being silent to very loud as soon as there's a radar signal present (especially Ka band)
