Yes, company says it is.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The rear camera is NOT waterproof, but decently sealed. However, it is designed to be screwed into your bumper/tailgate just above the license plate. Directions come with it for installation and indicate a small loop to leave in the wiring so the water can drip out. However, I personally did not want to bother with that (or the fact that ANY dust/dirt/snow/ice/rain on the camera would require you to go around back and wipe the camera off). It comes with 2 two-sided sticky pads so I opted to use that and stick the camera inside at the top of my rear window. Please note: Installing it this way would mean that the back up guides are NOT accurate and can not be used for the stopping point (you will back up into something that way). My car has rear sensors so I use them, and continue to use my side mirrors as well. This camera system takes outstanding videos. I was on a 2 hour drive down state and came upon an RV that had caught on fire (I'm not sure if someone was injured or not). The videos (front camera and back) are outstanding.
