I am replaced a bad DS4VB that another shop failed to program with 2 new overpriced remotes. And after waiting at their shop for 2.2 hrs. I left and purchased another Viper DS4VB from Best Buy. The first shop should have warranty the first unit, but they didn't offer but rather have me come back and waste more time. I have since had unit # 2 installed and since December 2024 (today is Jan 21,2025) the new unit has failed to start 3 times for unknown reasons. My suggestion would be to avoid Viper. And just so you know I have had Viper equipment since the late 80's. The main problem with these new Vipers is support. If anything goes wrong you will have you find an authorized dealer. No customer programming. Good Luck.
