Comes with the remote to start the vehicle, also there is a smart phone app to start and also unlock the vehicle. You just have to down load it and have it paired.

It comes with a one way one button remote. Get the 7857v or 7756v 2 way upgrade. You’ll be glad you did.

Remote is only a remote to start vehicle , there is addition remotes that can lock and unlock the vehicle.

You can purchase a t harness and you will be able to use your current key fob. If you don't have a fob that locks and unlocks your door now you will have to purchase it separately.

Update two, seems that you can only UNLOCK the doors with the one way one button remote that it comes with, not lock them as i previously stated, my bad but wanted to specify that i was wrong in my previous answer...

Update on an earlier answer i gave. After looking at the installation manual i figured out how to cancel the remote start after the car is running as well as unlocking AND locking the doors all from the one way one button remote that it comes with. No upgraded remote needed for these functions! As i stated, this info is from the Quick Reference Install Guide that comes included in the box.

I've been playing around on my gfs car since getting hers installed a couple days ago and so far have figured out that if after you've pressed the remote button once to start the vehicle you can press it again and it will unlock all doors on her 09 Ford Fusion. On my own vehicle that has an older aftermarket remote start you can simply press the button that second time to cancel the remote start and shut the vehicle off if you decide your not going to leave. I've not been able to figure out how to cancel the remote start on the Viper remote start yet so I'm now gonna look thru the owners manual lol
