Sound bars tend to be better because they have more speakers and better bass. The Echo sounds ok but can't get as loud and only has limited sound capabilities, where as the sound bar will have different settings, tweeters, speakers and way more bass.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.By far this soundbar will produce much better sound than the Amazon Echo.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The two items mentioned (should) serve two completely different purposes. This sound bar, which is meant to be paired with a TV, is set up to deliver directional sound to a person seated in front of the TV. It has bluetooth capability that will also allow one to play music through it, which is nice. The sound is pretty decent, but is short on bass. The Amazon Echo is not made to be paired with a TV and is NOT meant to deliver directional sound, but multi-directional sound to fill a room. If you need a sound bar to use with a TV, go with the Vizio. If you just want a m music player to deliver high quality multi-directional sound, I would go with Sonos, Bose, etc. If you want an interactive device to provide weather, news, etc. that ALSO can play music with multi-directional sound and do so decently well, than the ECHO is a good option.
