“What is the open space from the leg stands to the base of the TV. Need to know to determine if my cable box can be under the tv when it is on both legs on shelf. Is this the same for LG and Samsung 32" TVs”

There is approximately 1.65" between the TV and the surface it is sitting on when the stand legs are connected. The sizing will be different for different manufacturers.
