Hello Les, This TV is not intended to stand without the stand legs attached.

You might be able to lean it against a wall if you didn't need to use any HDMI or other inputs, but it wouldn't be particularly stable. Also, I think the speakers are on the bottom so if you need sound that would be a problem. It does have VESA mount compatibility so you could add a custom stand or wall mount if desired.
