I haven't looked at the box size directly, but I was able to put ine in the back seat of a 2002 Chevy Cavalier with no issuess.

Yes, it will fit in the back seat.....standing up! Actually, you should never transport a flat screen on its side flat. Enjoy this tv! For the price, it is awesome!

I have a Toyota Camry sedan and it fit in the back seat just fine.
