If you have a cable box that will control the channels then this TV will work. However, since most cable companies only provide up to 1080p then the full benefits of this TV will be lost. This is a 4K tv and to get 4K content you will need to use an Internet source like Netflix or youtube or have a 4K Blu-ray player.

The unit itself has no tuner, but if you are using the cable box and remote you just set the "input" to the proper setting and you will be fine. However you will not be getting true 4K resolution.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Of course this is a good choice for simple wired cable television viewing. It also has a just a few bells (no whistles) if need be. And the remote is durable and simple and easy to use. I have the same TV just bigger.
