“Can I plug a USB drive into this TV to play a looping slideshow of JPG images WITHOUT having to download the SmartCast app? I need to be able to send this TV to conferences and have various team members use it with as few hurdles as possible.”

We appreciate your interest. The USB port is for firmware updates. Various files may or may not work in the port, as it is not designed to be a media reader. It does have numerous inputs, such as HDMI, that can be used to connect devices. Thanks -Randal
