“Is it possible to add physical height speakers to this setup? I purchased this for cheap Dolby Atmos, but have a vaulted ceiling, so the height channel doesn't have an effect. I'd love to just add a speaker to the ceiling directly overhead.”

What you are talking about and want is a reciever system and is much more expensive in range of 800 to 1000 usd for the whole setup whereas this is only 300 usd now which is a steal considering i paid $500 a few months ago. There arent any sounbar systems that allow additional speakers, not at this range. The celing won't matter at this range as atmos isnt that noticeable. As a high res audiophile and musician, this bar is more than sufficient. My ceiling has a 6inch wall bar on ceiling halway thru ian room that would seem to bloc any height effects from reaching me correctly but it still sounds good. Its not an issue. The satellite speakers and their placement seem to matter more as they lower in volume usually often have effects that make u think something past by u. But The movie has to be done right and most 5.1ch only sources are much better than most atmos content out there which is also very limited. Your tv will need atmos pass thru or atmos will only work for device connected to the 1 hdmi in port on this soundbar. You won't find atmos like setup at this range. If u want something with atmos cheap this is the only option. Next up would be $800 system by think their called Nakamachi? If u want to add speakers u already have, u should invest in a reciever system. If u want atmos on the cheap get this and save for better later
