QuestionIf you do not have a HDMI ARC output on TV, will using the non-ARC HDMI from the tv sound better than using the "optical" output from the tv?

- Answer If you TV does not have ARC port then you will have to use optical, as normal HDMI port does not support both way data transfer for audio to go out of it.

- Answer You can use Atmos audio from a device directly connected to the sound bar. If you are passing audio from your television you would need to ensure the television can pass DD+ Atmos content.

QuestionHello, I have a Samsung - 65" Class - LED - Q60 Series and when I have my soundbar hooked up using my HDMI it works on and off and it currently is not working at all. Is there some kind of setting that I need to adjust or a different HDMI cable to use?

- Answer I had the same issue connecting it to my LG. When it would get turned off and back on it wouldn’t play audio. I’d have to physically unplug the soundbar and plug it back in for it to work. I got it exchanged and that fixed it for awhile but this one seems to be doing it also now. I’d look for a different model, not worth the headache.

QuestionI have a Vizio P55-F1 and a PS4 Pro I would like to use with this. Do I need to connect the PS4 Pro directly to the surround for atmos/best sound or can I connect the PS4 Pro to any HDMI port and still have this sound bar working to it's optimal level?

- Answer Your best sound source should ideally be connected directly to the soundbar HDMI in - video will feed thru HDMI OUT to the TV. All other HDMI sources can still go direct to the TV; audio for these sources will get to the soundbar thru the HDMI ARC. This assumes your TV supports HDMI ARC. (Would be labeled on the port usually HDMI 1). This is how I set it up on my Vizio 75-E1 with Apple TV directly into the soundbar. Otherwise use an optical cable to get audio from TV to the soundbar and leave your sources all connected to the TV. I am not sure if Atmos will feed thru this setup but I think so. (All of this is covered pretty clearly in the setup booklet)

- Answer The sound bar will accept an HDMI ARC signal as long as the television is capable of sending a Dolby Atmos signal.

- Answer Yes, there is a delay between when video starts playing on the tv and the audio starts playing though the audio is never out of sync.

- Answer After spending a lot of time with support for a similar issue, it seems to be a problem with the unit. If you're using ARC, it can just die intermittently. If you follow supports steps for resetting your firmware it may render the unit completely unable to connect to anything. If you're still in your warranty period, take advantage of it. I'm a couple of months outside of it and they've left me out to dry.

- Answer Yes, the satellite speakers have an RCA connection that can be spliced in order to install wire inside the speaker stands.

- Answer You need the HDMI cable to do Atmos. The optical cable does not have the bandwidth.

QuestionWill the sound be decent enough "Atmos" without the 2 satellite surround speakers? The way my room is, I do not have a wall behind the couch and can not put speakers on a stand either without kids knocking it off.

- Answer In my opinion, the 2 upward speakers are definitely noticed sound wise, so therefore needed. They do come with wall mounting options and connect to the sub, so depending on placement of sub, can add dispersment of atmos sound much more enjoyable than sound bar alone

QuestionI have bought the Sanus speaker stands HTB3 B1 for the rear speakers and the screws Included are too big to go trough the mount wall bracket . That’s so annoying . Can’t someone tell me which speaker stand is compatible .?

QuestionI have an older, 2015 year model Samsung UN55J6300 tv. Will it work with sony atmos? It does have HDMI ARC port. Just trying to decide if this Vizio unit would be worth the investment.

- Answer It will work ! The Source of your signal is what controls ATMOS. The sound bar will passthrough HDCP 2.2 which is needed to get the signal for a ROKU or other streaming device to get UHD and ATMOS signals.... Hope this makes sense: I am 80 years old and it works for me. A plus is that this is the cheapest way to go if you want ATMOS....
