Are the back speakers wireless? null

Yes. They're wireless, but they need to be connected to the subwoofer with the audio cables. None of the rear speakers need to be connected to the main soundbar, though. I have the subwoofer connected behind my couch, so it's been easy to connect the back speakers to it with no clutter.
