In my opinion, the 2 upward speakers are definitely noticed sound wise, so therefore needed. They do come with wall mounting options and connect to the sub, so depending on placement of sub, can add dispersment of atmos sound much more enjoyable than sound bar alone
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Honestly , I haven’t tried it without the rear speakers, but the sound bar has pretty deep bass, clear audio , and loud enough for me. The subwoofer is super powerful if you change the setting for it to the highest on the remote it comes with. The rear speakers just gives it that surround sound ability and makes everything sound so much more louder. But to answer your question more clearly , I strongly believe it will be good enough for you without the rear speakers if you choose not to use them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the sound is very good. The satellite surround speakers do give it the extra kick up to awesome though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think so, the satellite speakers do the work of "surrounding" the room with sound. The bar sounds good for sure, but it won't be the atmos effect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need those satellite speakers for the full effect. I have a wall behind the couch but I purchased some speaker stands years ago for a previous system I had. They are weighted at the bottom making it harder to knock them over. That is what I have been using for years without issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you leave the satellite speakers disconnected you will not be able to hear what ever audio is sent to the rear speaker channels.
