After spending a lot of time with support for a similar issue, it seems to be a problem with the unit. If you're using ARC, it can just die intermittently. If you follow supports steps for resetting your firmware it may render the unit completely unable to connect to anything. If you're still in your warranty period, take advantage of it. I'm a couple of months outside of it and they've left me out to dry.
