This system uses front-firing speakers on its satellites to bounce sound off the ceiling and back down towards you to create the illusion of height. While this Vizio system does perform better than comparable soundbar systems that support Dolby Atmos content, the system doesn't sound as real as discrete down-firing speakers in a home theater setup. Home theater setups tend to come with dedicated or discrete height channels that you can screw into your ceiling, which offer the most accurate and focused soundstage performance for Dolby Atmos content.

While it may not have upward-firing speakers like some dedicated Atmos setups, it uses advanced audio processing to create a sense of height and immersion. Users generally appreciate the enhanced audio, though it may not replicate a full dedicated Dolby Atmos speaker system. Consider your space and preferences to determine if the simulated Atmos experience meets your expectations.
