Yes you can. I have mine hooked up using the optical cable. Be sure you put the sub-woofer so it is a direct line of site with your soundbar or it will not connect via Bluetooth all the time. The best location is in a corner. I put mine, as I am facing my TV, in the right corner, it is about 4' - 5' away from the TV. Great sounding and when I crank it up, it doesn't distort. I also have an Apple TV on my system. I control the volume with that also.
