A:AnswerDid you get a whole set not just one piece? The we got works great had no problems. My husband had a stroke and was not doing well. I put the main unit in his room an another piece in the bedroom so I could hear him breathing. The third one was in the kitchen so if I was cooking I could hear him.
A:AnswerI seriously doubt they would work. I could not get reception between one sheet rock wall in a bedroom, twenty feet of space, and a simple hollow core door leading into another room where I was seated. They really only worked when they were in the same room, which defeats the purpose! I put a unit on a side table in one room and went twenty feet out a hollow core door and closed the door into my hallway. It still did not work at all.

A:AnswerHi - The VTech DM221-2 does not have a port for you to plug in a corded headset. The audio will automatically be broadcasted via speaker of the parent unit.

A:AnswerRedgirl - It is recommended to install the baby unit of the VTech DM221-2 at least 3 feet away from your baby. You can use the parent unit to adjust the microphone sensitivity of your baby unit. The higher the sensitivity level, the more sensitive the baby unit is in detecting sounds for transmitting to the parent unit.

A:AnswerHi - The VTech DM221 is a non-expandable unit. The only parent/baby unit that will work with the system are the ones that came with the package. The bundle DM221-2 comes with 2 parent units and 1 baby unit.

A:AnswerHi - The parent unit of the VTech DM221 is the one that has a screen and a battery compartment. The baby unit which goes to the baby's room is the one without a screen and connects only to an electrical outlet. You can download a copy of the User's Manual from our website.
