QuestionWhen I am on a call and there is an incoming call to the same line (call waiting), I hear the beep but do not see anything on the screen to show caller information. After call has ended, I check the call history and there are no new entries. Please help

- Answer The CM18445 supports up to 9 extensions. For example: 9 Desksets only. 9 Handsets only. 7 desksets + 2 handsets.

QuestionCan multiple CM18445s be hardwired? I purchased 3 CM18445 by mistake with idea of one main and two extensions. I’ve had them too long to return. Thank you.

- Answer Not recommended but yes. You'll loss all the system features like Intercom, Call transfer.. etc but the phones will work. You can connect the same telephone lines to all the 3 consoles by procuring a Tel. Line Splitter.

QuestionWe are setting up 3 new phones in our office, and for some reason the phones are not connecting with each other. When my co-worker is on line 1, the other 2 phones do not light up..we all automatically go to line 1 even when someone is already on it.

- Answer We have Comcast Business and had to request the roll line one over to line two. Once we did that it all worked fine.

QuestionVTech CM18445 /handsets CM18045. We have 4 outside lines. How can we prevent unintentional conferencing? That is, when I pick up my handset to start an outside call, I can accidentally select a line already in use -- and now I'm conferenced in! Yikes!

QuestionWe have 1 18445 and 8 18245 units. A call comes in, it's answered by reception and then transferred to the proper extension. It transfers but never goes to voicemail if not picked up. After 6 rings, it returns to reception (console). Auto attnd is ON.
