Hi- There are a number of differences between the VTech DS6771-3 and IS8151-4. The latter is a newer model that has bigger answering system capacity. It also has Call Block feature and Caller ID Announce. There's also a battery backup mode which allows you to use the handset even without power. Thank you for your interest! ~VTech Support
