The PS3 and ps4 can't fit a desktop hard drive but if you get a laptop drive or a solid state, both of those can be formatted and fit into the consoles. Due note as far as rpm speeds, heat is always a factor as the drives get faster. It is okay to have a 7200 rpm drive in a console, it'll run a little bit warmer than the 5400 rpm stock drives the Playstations include but it's safe and the speed difference will be worth it. If you can though invest in a good size solid state drive for the ps4. Highly recommend it! Have fun and game on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you need a laptop sized drive as the desktop one is way too big.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, what you need is a 2.5 hard drive. Or a laptop hard drive. This is a desktop hard drive and is too big to fit inside your ps4. I don't really recommend Seagate, but I believe that you have to use one in a PS4.
I would recommend:

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You need a laptop drive. This is a desktop drive. It would also be advantageous to buy a SSD (Solid State Drive) because it is faster than the ones that spin.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Negative. This is a full PC hard drive. You would need to purchase a laptop hard drive to replace the one in your gaming console.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, You need 2.5-inch SATA II drive. Which is the size of a normal laptop drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.thats a crazy thought.. this is an internal drive, here is a link to a cheaper way of doing it buy this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/seagate-backup-plus-2tb-external-usb-3-0-2-0-portable-hard-drive-black/2944503.p?id=1219083979672&skuId=2944503 then after you get it run a scan on it to make sure it isn't damaged or anything then format it and open the case, remove the tape and the adapter on the drive and you will have one of the best drives on the market for only 89 bucks and if you were careful while removing the tape and adapter then you could use that same case to house your old drive that was in the PS4 that way you'll end up with an upgraded PS4 and have an extra 500gb external drive for either your PS4 or computer. good luck and feel free to contact me if you need help on how to open the drive or replacing it on your PS4
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the PS4 uses a SFF drive (2.5") that would be found in laptops.
