QuestionHow to acquire Acronis True ImageOnce the hdd is purchased how does one go about getting the Acronis True Image cloning software? Is this a trial only offer for Acronis software?

- Answer You download the Acronis software from WD's site. It is a limited version that allows you to clone drives and work with partitions. I think that you would need to pay for the full version to be able to do more extensive drive work and to backup and restore drive images on a scheduled basis.

- Answer I would go with the WD10EZEX. That's what I use and I have no issues with it. If you are a computer gamer and you play games a lot on your computer I would recommend you to look into the WD1003FZEX. Basically the black edition is faster processing speed. Blue is for every day use and green is for the once in awhile use. I recommend staying black or blue color hard drives.

- Answer Yes, very much so. Only thing is that you have to reformat the drive so that the PS4 can detect it. Took less than 5 min on a PC.

- Answer Yes the drive will work I a dell system. You might need extra cables if you are planning on using software to move the old drive to the new drive. Otherwise you will need to reinstall everything manually or use a dell recovery disk.

- Answer For gaming I always stick to the black models. Hard drive latency seems to be lower on the blacks. The blues are great for storage. Will the blue be able to play games? Yes. Will it perform as well as the black? No. These days if you're going to game, I highly suggest looking into solid state drives.

- Answer No. This will not.Your BIOS has nothing to do with what drives are in your system. You don't even need a drive of any kind attached to access your BIOS. This is usually done by tapping the Delete, F2, or other key depending on your system. (30 years working with computers)

- Answer If your previous drive crashed it's most likely shot. There are programs that can recover an image of the drive or possibly gather files that aren't corrupt. Try to do some searches online about recovering files from a crashed drive. Installing the new drive is gonna be starting from scratch. Unless you backed up the previous drive or have an image of it, it's gone. Having an SSD is always a plus. Start up is faster and browsing through the computer (with multiple programs/windows open) is much faster. Can never hurt to have a SSD as your master and use something like this SATA as the storage and program use (partitioned).

- Answer I went to the HP website to check on the specifications for your machine, and it looks like your computer has 2 HDD bays. I am using the WD Blue 1TB HDD on 3 different systems that I have, all of which are different versions of i5 processors. One is a Windows 7, another a Windows 10 and finally an Ubuntu Linux. This is a pretty generic drive, and you have a pretty standard system, so there should not be any problems. The only question would be if your second HDD bay already has a drive in it. If not, it should be an easy install. Make sure that you have a SATA cable, because the drive does not come with one.

- Answer HI - As long as you have an "open" 3.5 inch Hard Drive Space, have an extra SATA cable, and "open" SATA port on your Motherboard, then YES - it will work with your system.

- Answer It will work with Windows 7 (although I highly recommend upgrading to at least Windows 8.1 since the security updates for Windows 7 are discontinued). The question is, does your computer have a drive bay or spot in the case for mounting hard drives that is 3.5" wide inside the space where the drive goes? If it is only 2.5" wide, this drive will not work. Also, this drive is SATA, so you need to have SATA controllers on your computer's motherboard in order to use it. SATA controllers look like the picture with red plugs below. The color of them and their location on the board will vary depending on the maker of the board. The important thing is the shape of the 'plugs' in the controller. If you see something like what's in the picture of the black and white plugs below, then you need a hard drive with IDE connectors. Again, the color will vary, but the shape will be the same as what is shown.
