Q: QuestionWould this work as a replacement for my ps4 hardrive?
Asked by Edju.
- A:Answer No, this one is too wide for a PS4. The PS4 can only hold 2.5" wide hard drives. Also, when looking for one, check with the manufacturer's website to see if they have information saying that it is officially supported for use in PS4s.

Q: QuestionDoes it work for windows 10
Asked by Bitty.
- A:Answer Yes, it is compatible with all modern Windows operating systems, including Windows 10. The big question is, what is the interface in your computer? Is it SATA? It needs to be in order to hook up to this drive. If it is IDE, it won't work with this drive. Note the included pictures. One of them shows the difference between a SATA cable and an IDE cable. You can also tell if a computer motherboard uses IDE if the only power cables in the case are the old style Molex (big white plastic things with big pins in them) connectors.

Q: QuestionI have an old Dell Inspiron 580S that I want to use as a second computer. It was upgraded at some point to run Windows 10. I want to change the hard drive to a new one ( WD Mainst.) but then, what do I have to do to have Windows 10 on a new hard drive?
Asked by Glecor5.
- A:Answer If you have the physical disc (DVD-ROM) of the operating system, then the process is quite easy. As long as the motherboard and processor is unchanged, you can install the operating system to this hard drive in the same way that you did to your old one. Your product key will still work. If you got Windows 10 another way, then the process is trickier. In that case, your best bet is to check the support pages for Windows 10 on the Microsoft website to find the procedure for this.

Q: QuestionWould this work with my Acer Nitro 5? If not, are there any suggestions for one that would work?
Asked by Freddie.
- A:Answer If this is the Acer Nitro 5 laptop that I've seen, then this drive won't work. It is much too big for a laptop. If you are thinking of building an external hard drive for your laptop, you'll also need an external hard drive case for it. Best Buy sells such enclosures such as the one in the picture below. Be sure that your laptop has enough USB ports on it so that you can plug this into a USB port directly rather than into a USB hub. Most USB hubs do not provide enough data and power for such enclosures.

Q: QuestionIs this hard drive suitable for an NVR security?
Asked by Willie.
- A:Answer This drive is not optimized for use with security systems. Western Digital does make a drive that is though. It is called 'WD Purple' and is usually similar in price to this one, so it is worth it to get the purple one for this use.

Q: Questioncan i use this on a MAC
Asked by mac.
- A:Answer As log as your Mac has SATA cables in it and that the drive bay is 3.5" wide, this will work. When you install the operating system, the process will format the drive so that it'll work with a Mac. In fact, some people even dual boot both a Mac and a Windows OS on the same drive, just in different partitions.
