can i use this on a MAC null

As log as your Mac has SATA cables in it and that the drive bay is 3.5" wide, this will work. When you install the operating system, the process will format the drive so that it'll work with a Mac. In fact, some people even dual boot both a Mac and a Windows OS on the same drive, just in different partitions.
