Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your mac is from after the Intel switchover, it's almost guaranteed that it uses SATA connectors. This would mean the drive *should* be compatible. With some Macs using 2.5' and smaller Hard Drives these days though, I would do some research first, or perhaps go in to your local apple store. Posting the exact model of your iMac would greatly help in determining whether or not your Mac can utilize a 3.5" SATA drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I put it in my mid 2007 iMac with no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I installed this drive on a PC but I would guess that it would also work on a Mac. You always have to format a new drive, so that should take care of any incompatibility. In the past I have used WD drives as backups with Mac's before without problems. Typically, internal hard drives like this would NOT fit into a Mac because of the size though. You need to be very careful and check all of the dimensions and compatibilities first before purchasing an internal drive. I would go with a drive designed specifically and labelled for the particular Mac that you have rather than try to make "something" else just work. It usually doesn't turn out well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is, I just had to have the Geeks put a new one in mine. It works fine.
