“Is this a SATA 3 drive? I need a 1 or 2, as my port is for a SATA 1 drive”

• This a replacement drive in a 5-6 year old computer. The paper work with the hard drive says it is a SATA drive but does not specify a number. Since it is an older PC I would presume it is a 1. Best bet, ask the Geeks.

• All flash drives are backward compatible; the drive will just copy at the slower speed of the port.

• SATA 3 is just a fancy name for the speed. It is backward compatible with SATA 1 and 2

• This is a USB 3 Drive. Backwards compatible with USB 2 & 1.
