You should be able to find one at or near the price of this 5400 RPM drive. The only exception to this suggestion is if your laptop runs very hot. A 7200 RPM drive can generate more heat than a 5400 RPM drive.

A:AnswerI would think that the measurement your describing is related to the specs on your INTERNAL hard drive. This hard drive is an external, which is just simply plugged into a usb port on your cpu and configured from there. To answer your question, yes it should work fine with your laptop, you just set up your games to be stored on the external drive. In my case this would have been "G:" drive. You then download the WD apps from their website and you can set up back up schedules and maintenance. Fun fact, the hard drive will actually work for PS4 external storage as well! I have not tried Xbox but I would imagine the results would be similar, but dont take my word for it since I have not tried it.
