I believe they're physically compatible (The MQ01ABD075 is 9.5 mm thick; the 1TB drive in question is either 9.5 or 7 mm and should fit physically in either case). If it were me and assuming I wasn't in a BIG rush, I would replace the existing 750GB drive with a 1TB drive, but one that runs at 7200 RPM, rather than the 5400 RPM drive you're considering. You should be able to find one at or near the price of this 5400 RPM drive. The only exception to this suggestion is if your laptop runs very hot. A 7200 RPM drive can generate more heat than a 5400 RPM drive. Good luck. Roger
