Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Assuming you are looking at the WD mobile 2.5 inch...it will work but you may need an adapter for the drive bay. Dell offered both 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch options for your computer. If you do not intend to have the drive moonlight in a mobile device or in the future, I would look at 3.5 options. A HHD 3.5 if you need storage capacity at a low price and SSHD for storage and added preformace. I would go with a 3.5 SSHD like the Seagate barracuda if able but 3.5 inch for sure. Otherwise you are paying extra for mobility you don't need.

You may have an issue securing it since it is a lot smaller in size. I have done this in the past but I also made sure not to move the PC with securinf the drive first. Not doing so can not only damage the hard drive and cause data lose but also damage the PC itself. -Richard
