I used this hybrid 2TB hard drive to replace an old original 500GB WD hard drive in my Dell Studio XPC that was now having intermittent startup problems (sometimes the HD needed the CD recovery disc to start, so I knew it was going to fail soon). I'm not a gamer, but, I liked the idea of the learning feature of the SSD part of this drive.
I've had this Seagate HD installed for 3 weeks now without any problems. It also seems to be starting up quicker now. I ran a performance test right after I installed it and the numbers were good and even better than my secondary Seagate 1TB drive (Barracuda). I re-ran the performance test today and the numbers even got a bit better. I guess the learning feature is beginning to work.
I also used the Seagate DiscWizard app to clone my original hard drive to my new Seagate 2TB HD - it took several hours. Go to the Seagate website for the free app. This app has enough features to do the basic job of duplicating everything on your old drive to your new drive.
For the price, performance and capacity, I think this Seagate HD is a good deal.
