Can’t. As long as it’s plugged in it will glow. At least that’s my experience.

Mine only glows when it is reading or writing.

You go down on start menu im windows to removable devices and eject it

Even a simpler way remove it from the device

Generally you can not turn off the light on a USB drive, the light on most drives is shown when it is plugged in or to show when the drive is being accessed.

The only logical way to keep it from lighting up is to remove it from the USB port on your computer (or if the computer is off or in sleep mode). I'm sure there is an LED inside the casing of this flash drive. That LED would have to be forcibly removed by hand, which could also damage the flash drive itself. Look for a different model. There are plenty that do not light up.
