Q: Questioni want to download the photos from my phone. i DONT want to put them on my computer as my storage is full on it. can this device just hold the photos in it? do i have to upload them to a computer to save them?

• A:Answer You do not have to load the pictures onto your computer, but you will need to use a computer as a "middle man" or connector to load the pictures onto the flash drive. Just plug your phone into the computer with your USB cord, and plug the USB in the computer as well.

• A:Answer Please ignore the user that mentioned a micro-SD slot. This Best Buy listing is for a Western Digital flash drive. Also, iPhones do not have micro-SD slots. A USB flash drive, like this WD model, cannot plug directly into the Lightning port of an Apple device. You would have to transfer the pictures from your iPhone 8+ to your computer first, then back them up onto this flash drive from your computer. If you are looking for the convenience of something that can plug directly into your iPhone, look for the SanDisk iExpand. Best Buy does sell them. They come in a few different memory sizes. They have a lightning plug on one end and a USB on the other. You can plug it directly into your iPhone and use their app to back up the photos to it.

• A:Answer No. The devices that do that come with software that does the actual searching and copying. The Sandisk doesn't come with that software. But there are programs out there that will do that job. Look on the app store for your device, and there should be several apps that will do that job.

• A:Answer I download music for upcoming concerts. I lookup setlist and create CD the same order. To make it the way I want it I have to number each song 1 thru how many. First sing on CD having a one in front. For pictures they are already numbered by camera if you label a picture it will be alphabetized. If you copy from 2 differ devices you will have to take the time and number them. Ex 1 Christmas party 2018 2 new years eve 3 new years day. It is very time consuming but it will pay off

• A:Answer For this specific WD - Easystore 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive - Blue which I got recently, No. I know what you're referring to also as I like to see those activity lights & there are others that do have them. There are ways though to monitor drive activity via Windows operating systems. The trade-off/lacking of the activity light is still fine for me based on the occasional bargain through Best Buy.
