• This should work for the PS4 - as long as it has a usb connection. (I'm an xBox One gamer). I have two of these, one for each of my xBoxs (yes, I have two - needed an extra so I could play in the bedroom if the living room tv was taken). So far, they are working great for me. I would have to say they'll probably work just fine for the PS4, just plug it in and use the menu to format it, then switch the setting to start copying games to it. Funny though, you may find that it'll fill up quick with some of the game these days - so if it's on sale - might grab two.

• I have a 500 gb PS4. It’s not a slim and it’s about 3-4 years old. I haven’t had any problem with the hard drive working on my PS4. Hope this answers your question.
