“My Apple tech told me to use the Time Machine function to transfer all the data on my MacBook Pro onto the hard drive. The info on the side of the box said it would have to be reconfigured to use Time Machine. Didn’t know what this means or how to do it.”

• This just means you need to go to your 'Applications' folder and open 'Disk Utility' and choose your new hard drive from the list on the left. Click 'Erase' and choose one of the Mac Formats ( Mac Os Extended Journaled ex. ) This will prepare your new drive for Time Machine Backups
