• Basically it's same thing just like any external storage portable, but you've to format before to use it and depend what system you used, PC or Mac.

• Absolutely. The drive, for all purposes, is no different mechanically than a regular external HDD. The only difference is the color and name (using PlayStation/Xbox as a selling point).
