Works wonderful with my ps5 i have 90 ps4 games and still a terrabyte left! It only lets you play ps4 games directly from it! You can copy ps5 games over but you cannot play directly from the harddrive!

Bought for extra storage for game system. Can always use extra storage for games.

I have had this over a year now and still works amazingly well. Ease of use is simple and takes about 3 minutes. Most people don't know, but the external hard drive port is located on the back of the ps4. So you really shouldn't be using your front ports for this device as it will run slower as well as take up a needed front port. I am already at 3.4TB of 4TB. Wish the 8TB could be used on the ps4, however it cannot be used on ps4 or ps4 pro. Design is nice, but feels fragile so I wouldn't want to drop it. Other than that, no negatives I can think of.

This thing was great for me, I have a 2015 model PS4 (Black Ops 3 Edition 1TB) and have 90% of my games installed to the hard drive, naturally this space was used up fairly quickly but with the extra 4TB I was able to re-download all my earlier titles and have room for more demanding games like Modern Warfare or Fallout 4, definitely worth the extra 40$ from the 2TB option for double the capacity. The loading speed and small profile work great as well, I highly recommend this and maybe a protection plan if you move the console around a lot!

I love it. Now I can store so many games without having to delete anything. Wish I would have bought this year's ago.

What to do with the limited space on the PS5...all these PS4 games. How about put them all on an external hard drive and play them whenever you want. Yes, the load speeds are not going to be as good but you’ll be able to play any of the games whenever you want.

The HDD inside is not a standard drive. the usb interface is built into the HDD itself. has the usb 3 micro wide plug instead of a usb c. I wish the listing had more details of what you actually are buying. the label on the drive doesn't even have the rpms. This just reinforces the idea that console gamers don't care about performance.

I got this one too with the Seagate 4tb. It's great for having PS5 games In the extended storage. While you can't play PS5 games in it, you can transfer it from the box faster than from re-downloading it from scratch. You can play PS4 games on it and it was very easy to install.

A great 4TB storage upgrade for my PS4 Pro. Very easy to setup and install. The external drive is small and compact and just connect it to your PS4 via USB 3.0 port and a quick format of the drive in settings and your ready to go! It would be nice if more color options were available since I have a PS4 Pro God of War Edition but I won't deduct from my rating due to aesthetics. These often go on sale to compete with Seagate and other Brands so theirs always good deals out there, just keep your eyes open!

I Bought The 4TB External Hard-Drive For My Playstation4 (My Old One Burnt Out). The New “WD>Hard-Drive” Has The Same Amount Of Space 4TB, But The Unit Is Much Smaller. It Came With Instructions To Install It To My PS4 Gaming System And It Was So Easy To Connect In The Settings Menu. I Recommend Anyone To Buy One Depending If You Want Extra Space To Download Games. It Was Very Affordable ($119.75) And I Also Bought A 2 Year Accidental Geek Squad Replacement For $27.20.

This 4 TB hard drive is outstanding! Is is very easy to install and you are up and running in less than a couple minutes. You can transfer huge PS4 games in 10 minutes or less to free up space on your console. Also, you can take the games to friends house and save yourself lots of download and install time! This technology is awesome and it is great because it works. Highly recommend and it is high performance!

Easy Plug & Play. Already formatted for the PlayStation. Works great for backing up and moving games off console for quicker play. Great not having so much storage bogging down my PlayStation. Would Highly recommend! Good job WD, Keep cranking out the great products....
