Good to have an external storage to keep copies. Trust 3 copies,.. PC, External Drive or NAS and a Cloud Service. If you copy the folders over each time that will work or you can have things automatically sync with some software.

It is a great product for any storage, but specifically great for Pics and other multimedia stuff. You can access them via app (works great too) from anywhere.

It's great for photo storage, it's what I use it for. It was hard to set up at first though. The only thing I don't care for about it is it has to be plugged into router to work, I wanted something I could throw in my camera backpack and take with me, something truly wireless all around, but this is still awesome so far!
