• You'll need an app that backs up your user data for each type of system ie: PC and/or Mac. If you want to get ALL the data from each system you'll need some sort of mirroring app to make the transfers.

• The short answer is No. The long answer is that it's possible by partitioning the drive and format one side as HFS+ and format the other side as either NTFS or FAT32. What i would recommend is instead of buying one 4TB drive i would but two 2TB drives and just use one for Mac and one for PC. Keep it simple.

• Yes. Windows, you'll need to purchase a backup software if you want something good, and make the location the network storage (WDCloud). Mac, WD already has a TimeMachine folder configured for it's usage. Works out of the box.

• You can connect to the MyCloud from both PCs and Macs. You can use the WD apps for and your phone or map a drive on the network.
