You'll need an app that backs up your user data for each type of system ie: PC and/or Mac. If you want to get ALL the data from each system you'll need some sort of mirroring app to make the transfers.

Please try again later.The short answer is No. The long answer is that it's possible by partitioning the drive and format one side as HFS+ and format the other side as either NTFS or FAT32. What i would recommend is instead of buying one 4TB drive i would but two 2TB drives and just use one for Mac and one for PC. Keep it simple.
