• If you first plug it into your computer and go under disk management and format the disk removing all of the software on the disk then this should work as a data store on your router. This can also be accomplished through a command line using diskpart.

• If your router has a usb port , then yes it will work with this hard drive.

• According to research I did and experience this does not mount on a router as a network device.
