• The WDBYNN0010BBK-WESN WD My Book 1TB External drive does come with a custom cable for connecting this hard drive to USB 2 & 3 ports. The hard drive has only one port. The port's shape is unique. Without the provided cable, the hard drive would useless.

• Comes with a Special USB cord to connect to the PC. The reason it is special is because the connection on the drive itself is a proprietary connection. The other end is standard USB-A That's all you need since it is powered via that same cord.
