Is this drive considered a solid state drive? null

No, it is a regular (rotating disk) hdd. You can hear them moving if you put the drive up to your ear(but it is not loud in operation).

No these have internal Mechanical hard drives that are 5400 RPM and USB 3.0 they are not the fastest but do a great job for backup and are a great value
