• Open a window for your portable hard drive using your File Explorer. Easiest usual way is to DRAG into that window the item you want to transfer (copy to the HD). SOMETIMES, when the item you want to transfer is very large, windows chooses to create a DIRECT ACCESS to the item, instead of COPYING it. The way around is to click right mouse over your item and select COPY. Then go to the window of the portable drive, and right-click PASTE. Cheers

• Select the document or documents you wish to move to the unit. Go to "File", then click on "Save As", then select the drive on which your unit is installed and click OK. Should work.
