• Yes, drives are typically not operating system specific. You just need to format them to be viewable on both systems. Format the drive to exFat instead of ntfs and it should work

• It may be faster to network the 2 and transfer. But being Apple to Microsoft, you may have some data conversion ahead of you. As far as the drive goes, the drive will work on both systems, but see above.
