Hello, Please know, ideally the drive is designed for macOS computers and it is ready out of box with HFS+ format for macOS. However, you can reformat the drive in NTFS to use with Windows or in exFAT for both Windows and macOS. Please be informed that reformatting is a data destructive process. Please backup the data from the drive before reformatting it. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The PC doesn't read this drive since it is formatted for a Mac. At least I just tried it and it didn't launch on the PC. I have had great success with the reliability of this brand, but I would look for a model that is formated for both Mac and PC.
