• The weBoost Drive X is designed for in vehicle use. Due to FCC regulations, vehicle devices can only give you a max gain of 50dB where home designed devices range from 60dB - 72dB. While it may work in your home, it probably won't be the best solution for a stronger signal.

• Yes, with an AC adapter you can. That is exactly why I bought it and what I use it for.
